We're getting ready....

So, I'm finally getting ready! For the new baby that is. Here's a picture of our inspiration nursery...

What do you think?

I've ordered the baby's bedding and Lucy's new big girl bed! Yippee.
Now I need to put up the beadboard wallpaper, the chair rail and find someone to do the painting. Ugh.
I really hate painting...my downstairs bathroom has still not recovered from my painting experiment.

Hopefully I can get everything done before she gets here. But to tell you the truth? I'm just plain tired. Where's my nesting energy when I need it?

Lucy's Ballet Birthday....

First we made little ballet dress invitations...

Lucy had to deliver them in full ballet dress...

Then to open a very special present...

Then to dress her up...

And to do special ballet crafts...

But the best part of all? The dancing...

With all her cutie ballet friends.

Loves with Grandma...
And fun with cousins...

Could the day get any better? Happy Fourth Birthday my baby girl!!

New Years Eve

Remember when we used to stay up R-E-A-L-L-Y late to watch the ball drop in NY and welcome in the New Year?
Yeah.
Me too.

This year, with me being prego, I vowed it would be different...
We had Thai Food, yummy treats, played a few games, watched a movie, and when that was done, it still wasn't midnight.

What to do?

So we celebrated early, much to the chagrin of our children (I guess popping Party Poppers before midnight is SO not fun),
who were determined to stay up 'til midnight.
Mom and Dad left to get an early start on the road and I vowed to go to bed.

BUT.

I didn't. We ended up staying up til midnight, watching a
JAWS marathon
and scaring the beejeebies out of our kids. I don't think they'll get into the ocean this summer. Maybe they'll forget?
Oh.
And we did watch Lady GaGa and the ball drop. And just so you know...the kids think Gaga is weird.

Christmas Day

So we've reached that point where all the big kids want nice, expensive things.
Sigh.

Spence got an Ipod Touch...among some other little things.

And because Lucy thinks she's 13 as well, she wants expensive things too. I had to laugh when she told Grandma she wanted an ITouch. Hmmm.
Sorry, Lu. You get a bigwheel instead.

Sophie's Ipod Touch..

Grace's DSi...

And all sorts of other things...Whew. Glad to check Christmas off my list!!

Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve at Kim's house and she went all out. We played fun games, had gread food, a wonderful Cousins Talent Show...and almost an amazing Nativity...until everyone got too tired to participate. Next year? We'll do the Nativity first thing.
