Ahh Summer, Our Fickle Friend, How We Love You So....
We spent much of July at Grandma and Grandpa's house because the Tews were visiting from California!
And of course we celebrated two wonderful days...America's and Grace's birthday. her cake was really fun to make, and although I have the delicious (and suprising) recipe, I can't find the actual website I got it from. But here is another version which is really close to the one I used. Check it out here.

And we had some quality pool time with Dad. I'm fairly certain that pool time with Dad is WAY more fun than with Mom. Sorry guys, as far as pool rough housing goes, I'm certainly inadequate.

And Grandma's homemade ice cream. Delish
Did I mention the NEW summer pastime? Badminton! We're grooming 2020's Olympic Team. I am in love with their game faces.
And of course what Grandma trip isn't complete without CHERRY HILL?
Love these cutie cousins, Maria, Lucy, and Abby.
The organ at the Church Conference Center.
The Salt Lake City Temple
Spencer W in front of Spencer W!
The Church History Museum, which turned out to be a HUGE hit with the newly refurbished Children's Section.
Grandma with only part of her grandkids in front of the visitors center.
The girls loved the Spanish Dancing dresses and video.
Another badminton shot just to intimidate.
And finally the kiddies at the Roy Rec Center Swimming pool, which turned out to be really fun! Go Roy, Utah. Who knew?

Graduations Galore!
Spencer's finished with elementary school!!! And it breaks my heart. So I tried not to think too much about it during the ceremony, or I would have turned into a puddle of tears. :(
So now he's off to 7th grade and lockers and a crazy schedule and more teachers than he can keep track of. Hopefully summer will last forever. :)
And Lucy's graduation was cute...but not really accurate, considering she has two more years of preschool and won't begin kindergarten until 2013...but I'm a huge sucker for a baby girl in a graduation cap!

Finally...Everything!
Ah, dost thou hate me? I knowest thou does, because I hate me! This is the longest post EVER, but it must be done, or I will still be behind. So you have my permission to skip on ahead. But if you feel like seeing what The White House has been up to, then peruse away.
And I promise, there are some shopping links at the end. :)
And thank goodness it's summer!! Yippee!
We went and saw the cutest show at The Clark Planetarium...Born to Be Wild in 3D. So cute...and all about conservation and the cutest orangutan's and elephants you have ever seen!

And Spencer had his school Renaissance Fair...where you practice running a business. He ran "The Fishery" and worked with all girls. And yes, I made 100 goldfish cookies. Here's the yummy recipe. He said he was supposed to work with people he normally didn't work with so when the girls asked him to join their group he thought 'why not?'. Hmmmm...At least, that's his story and he's sticking to it.

The girls had a volleyball camp at BYU which they LOVED, although by the second day their knees were killing them, which was my fault because they didn't have knee pads. Actually it's Adam's fault because why would I know they needed knee pads, he was the one who played volleyball for ten years. Anyway, at this summers volleyball camp? Knee pads? Check.

And the girls also had their play Alice in Wonderland. They did great and had a great time learning about how to be in a stage production.

Lucy and I enjoyed Thanksgiving Points Tulip Festival.

Happy Mother's Day to me! With all the horrible weather Utah has been having, all I wanted to do was go outside and enjoy it! We took a little jaunt to Tibble Fork Reservoir up AF Canyon. We finally had a day where the sun was shining, but it was a tad bit cold. There was even snow at the firepit we commandeered, but it was still nice. Oh how I miss California's 70 degrees for almost everything!

And here's Lucy's EASTER GRASS. She grew it at preschool. And I must say her grass looked way better than our front yard grass, so we're thinking of hiring her to take care of our lawn, once it stops raining that is.

EASTER SUNDAY

And just in case you're wondering where I got Sophie's dress (cutest ever!) Here's the link: It's a United Colors of Benneton at Nordstrom...I think it's still there, but of course now it's on sale. Grace's is from Crewcuts at J.Crew.
